I first came across this Lionesse brand in Vegas a few months ago and tried some samples (was desperate for moisture while traveling) that quite impressed me. When the brand followed up and asked me to give their collection a full-on review I had to accept!
As you guys know, I don’t review too many beauty products due to my sensitive skin. After researching other reviews and their ingredients list, I felt that this was a good fit for my skin. Since I’ve always struggled with dark circles, I was immediately drawn to their most popular products in the Amber Collection. I went ahead and ordered the full collection to give a full trial review.
“Lionesse Gem is Lionesse’s luxury skin care line, infused with precious and semi-precious gems for the most indulgent skin care experience possible.”
This means that you are treating your skin to the world’s finest serums and creams, trusting their hard earned reputation as a leader in luxury skin care.
My first impression of this collection was pure luxury. Each cream or serum arrived in it’s own box, which is a relief since I’ve received broken products in the mail before. Unboxing them and testing the products right off the bat- I found the texture of the creams very interesting. The eye creams in particular feel almost sticky, until you put them on your skin. The dissolve into your skin pretty easily and wear nicely beneath makeup, however, so don’t let that deter you!
I am always interested to see how eye serums perform since I have truly dark under-eye circles and often wake up with puffy eyes. Their Amber Eye Serum does a beautiful job of plumping up the eye and reducing the appearance of fine lines. I like this for daytime, with a touch of the Dark Circle Eye-cream if my circles are looking particularly dark.
I found myself using the Amber Eye Cream at night, since the Caffeine and Vitamin E seem to prep my skin and help me wake up looking more fresh and less puffy.
My favorite product is the Black Onyx Mask, which smells of heavenly sweet- almond oil. My skin looks brighter and my pores look tighter after just one use. While it’s a 15 minute mask, I kept mine on for a little over 20 and found the effects to last over several days.
Overall I was quite impressed with this line if you are looking for premium products that will alter the look of your pores and truly diminish the look of fine lines. While the price point is a bit steep, I have used other premium products in the past and find this line comparable. I would recommend this to friends looking for a luxury skin care line.

These products look so delicately packaged! I personally want to try the Black Onyx Mask but when I googled it, it’s $1k-$2K, wow! But to be fair, they’re reviews are almost always 5 out of 5. I love the abundance of radiant photos throughout, as I feel the packaging and appearance of this product truly conveys the luxurious effects of it. Its very useful that you also put the products contents in the post as I have found that all contents from certain products do not agree with my skin while others do.

I find that if I find a product that does the job or better that I am wanting for my skin, then I don’t mind paying a bit more for that product. I will use it sparingly or change off with another to make the more pricey one last longer. This product sounds nice and I too have dark circles under my eyes at times and wrinkles and age spots so I need something that will help and cover up those flaws.

I had honestly never heard of the brand before until just a little bit ago. After doing a little research and finding this article, I am now stoked to try this! I desperately need to find a brand that actually hydrates as I very seldom ever drink water which in turn leaves my skin just blah and other creams I use leave an oily feeling residue behind.
