SPRING is just around the corner which means more color, prints and the reintroduction of classics like espadrilles. I’ve styled up my favorite Vionic Calypso wedge for a stylish, yet wearable look for the new season.
Every year I try and narrow down my new shoe purchases to a few pairs that know I’ll get a lot of wear out of. Comfort has become a major priority now that I’ve got not only a 7 year old running around, but two rambunctious dogs too! What I love about Vionic shoes is that I don’t have to sacrifice one for the other; I get the stylish details I’m looking for, plus the relief of a comfortable sole for daily wear.
Here you can see that I’ve styled my edges with a pair of ripped black denim. It’s still a bit rainy here in Portland, so I’ve got to start with a warm pair of jeans and then work out the details from there. Mixed prints is a fun way to create a transitional look, with a monochrome base and then a pop of color overtop.
My favorite detail of these wedge espadrilles are the gold tipped lace ups. The pattern across my feet is delicate and flattering, while the leather straps supporting my ankles offer a lot of support that lace-only shoes normally lack. These meet all my criteria for style AND comfort in one adorable pair of shoes!
