I can’t believe it’s already February and I haven’t properly blogged about this bag! Say hello to my brand new girl, the Parker Street Aisley Tote by Kate Spade! Isn’t she gorgeous? This oversized tote was on my Christmas wish list, because of the pastel colors and the understated, chic design. Kate Spade really knows how to make a bag, right? (Bae was nice enough to throw in the coordinating wallet- yussss!)
The trick to not being overpowered by a HUGE bag is proportions and colors. Here I chose a subtle color palette to blend with the bag. I like that my sweater is oversized as well, so that when I wear the bag in the crook of my arm, it perches against a block of fabric. I kept it simple (no patterns) for the same reason. I’m only 5″4 so remember that these are tricks of the trade for those of use vertically challenged 🙂
Wore this with another shade of pink (he-lloooo patent pleather) for a bit of lady like- edge. I like this skirt SO much because the material is so unexpected for this cut and color! My shoes are the classic black stiletto. Makes me wish I had a grey suede pump actually. (Mental note- Must go shopping ASAP)**
