It took us a couple days lounging across the grounds, to put our finger on the source of the overarching peaceful vibe at Post Hotel, Leavenworth. The service was extraordinary- very personal and intimate, almost as if you were staying with family- but the quiet on the property, this unspoken peacefulness and overall stress-free energy rests on the face of each guest you run into on the property. And finally we got it- this is an ADULT ONLY, PET FREE zone.* No kids, equals no responsibility, which extends to the no-pets policy, thus an atmosphere of 100% relaxation.
Obviously, Luke and I appreciate and often seek-out the most fun, family friendly spots to stay, because of our beautiful little, family crew. But I have to tell you- the concept behind this Alps-inspired hotel- one of ultimate relaxation- is beautifully and seamlessly executed from the layout of the hotel, to the romantic, timeless design and architecture.
The first spot we visited was our room, which did not fail to exceed our expectations. The view of the mountains that jut out behind the heated pools below creates a stunning contrast and relaxing backdrop for morning coffee on the terrace. The tub is a DREAM and when I shared it to my IG-stories, became an instant hit with my followers who wanted to know how to book their next stay.
The rooms are just the beginning however. The rest of the grounds beckoned, so we woke up early and began exploring the main floor where breakfast and brunch are served (and included in each day of your stay) till 1pm. We definitely recommend their food, which includes custom egg dishes and a fresh, seasonal buffet. The lounge room is is naturally lit, offering cozy snuggle spots for coffee, reading or even games if you snag one one of the beautiful tables.
Saving the best for last, we actually took our time exploring Saturday, so that we could enjoy the Spa for several hours on Sunday, which I have to say, was a bucket-list worthy experience. Seriously, if you’ve never been to a full-service wellness spa like this, you are certainly missing out. Once again included in the stay, the Post Hotel spa includes soaking tubs, a variety of herbal saunas and even cold pools for added health benefits.
The eucalyptus sauna was our favorite, because of the futuristic stone beds we laid down on as the room filled with steam. By mid- steam you couldn’t see the guests laying down across from you amidst the fragrant fog. We waited out the full experience until the fog lowered and the steam ended. It left us rejuvenated and my pores felt so fresh and clean afterward.
If you really want to treat yourself, make sure to book a massage or facial!
