People always say the sweetest things about Luke and I being “couple goals” and so cute together, etc but I want to take a moment to check in and be real. To remind you that no relationship is necessarily “perfect” and most important to remember- the best relationships are founded on trust & hard work.
While mine & Lukes love feels pretty close to perfect, I believe that that’s due to us both having walked through some fire in our separate journeys. And luckily, both of us came out smarter, stronger and more humble on the other side. However, while nothing is picture perfect in real life it can DEFINITELY be easy, uncomplicated, rewarding and magical…
(PS This is what it looks like to fall madly, deeply in love with the man beyond my dreams.)
I try and emphasize to Luke that I not only feel infatuated and “in love” but more importantly, I love who he is and what he stands for.
I’m honored to know and fall in love with someone who holds family, friends and loved ones in the highest regard- who upholds his personal integrity and treats everyone he comes across with equal kindness & respect.
I love, admire and respect too many things to count about this incredible soul who also just happens to be the most handsome man I’ve ever met. I’ve always been a seeker, artist and down to earth kind of spirit myself, so the things that attract me to another person include their intelligence, character, heart and integrity. I don’t let many people through my social filter into my small, internal circle but those who’ve made it are the most kind, generous and loving people you’d ever meet. Anyhow, this is why it took me over 100 hours of extensive and deep conversation about life, religion, politics- all of it- for me to know and trust that a man SO GOOD LOOKING could also be so genuinely kind, sincere and humble. Who knew God could make it so clear and beautiful. Who knew I’d be so lucky?
Because when the endorphins fade a bit and the newness wears off I can confidently say I’ll still look over with admiration and respect at the man who holds my heart.

Ahh you guys really are couple goals! I feel a smilar way about my boyfriend -we’ve both been through a lot before we met each other. I think if we had met each other earlier, we wouldn’t have worked out – we both had to experience the things we did individually for our relationship to work the way it does now!
It’s amazing how much we grow and change. It’s a wonderful opportunity and I feel so lucky. Sounds like you guys have a similar story 🙂
