This year marked a major shift in NYFW’s shows. It was noted by several publications- the inherent change- in both the streets and shows these past few years- with the flooding of bloggers and content creators at shows that used to be more exclusive and seat A-listers along the front rows. While some applaud the accessibility most shows now, others are concerned about the immediate release of social media footage of collections meant to hit stores several months down the road.
It’s a great time to be included in the movement largely influenced by us bloggers. My hope is that as a community we are responsible with our impact on the Fashion Industry and continue to educate ourselves on how to protect the delicate balance between high fashion and the consumer.
Since I was not a part of the foot traffic in New York this year, I decided to share my favorite trends and shows from home, scouring the web for live footage of my favorites and then styling wearable looks that you can shop now. Take a look at my latest OOTD inspired by the DVF 2017 Spring collection.
