Taking cue’s from nature has been a part of Fashion since- oh I don’t know- forever! It’s a huge inspiration for my own evolving sense of fashion as a NW native. It’s one of the best side effects of being being surrounded by vast forestry, gardens and plants. Come summer, I am inspired to wear pastel blues and greys to reflect blue skies and waterfalls and compliment the bright backdrops. These grey leather pumps also remind me of the stunning texture seen in many cacti. What do you think of my leather camo?
My visit to one of Portland’s newest nursery’s was interesting… While it’s a stunning display of plants- spread out between an indoor nursery and the outside patio- I found the service to be a bit unfriendly. We kept our visit short after asking to take some shots. While they were gracious to let us shoot, we received unfriendly responses sideways looks during our walk around. It was a similar vibe when we inquired about a particular plant for purchase. Other nurseries, including both locations of the Portland Nursery wowed me in both their inventory and their customer service. However, if you’re in the area, I’m sure you’ll find something to LOVE. They are stocked full of all the trending faves right now including lots of perennials and cacti.
