Motherhood has to be the ultimate adventure and to boot- we have our very own day to celebrate it! This is my 6th Mother’s day unless you count the year I held my little Ella inside my tummy. Can you believe it? I think of her and am blown away by this precious gift- my one true treasure. She brings joy and dimension to my life in a way I never could have imagined and for that, I will forever be in awe.
Something about the NY&Co Mother’s Day Collection reminds me of the old hollywood glamour and playfulness of the 40’s-50’s. I felt inspired to style this look with my nostalgia in mind, while adding some modern notes to keep it true to my personal style. What do we think?
Since my birthday lands one day before Mother’s Day this year, Ella and I will be getting pampered on Saturday (mani pedi’s please) and then going to Brunch on Sunday. We just RSVPed to a Hello Kitty event in SW Portland, so after a relaxing morning we’ll go get our play on!
While my little one seems to be experiencing both a physical and emotional growth spurts these days (growing up is truly hard to do) I count each day and each week as a an opportunity for spiritual growth. That is the truest kind of adventure- the daily re-discovery of everyday life- with your little one at hand.
Hope your weekend is full of Adventures and laughter as well! Oh! And of course- Happy Mother’s Day lovelies!
