As some of you may already, I returned home just three weeks before the Paris Attacks. It’s a crazy world and a small one too. I’ve given it a lot of thought since then, as to the fragility of our short lives and all that I have to be thankful for. It also pains me to know that my fellow beings are mourning terrible loss in the aftermath.
To honor them, I am challenging myself to take better care of my body, mind and soul. I want to cherish the life I’ve been given and contribute to the world in a big way. Bigger than myself at least. That begins with being a patient, kind mother- much more difficult than it sounds- a supportive, loving partner and a positive part of my society. So essentially, my new goals are to eat healthier, work out more, meditate and take time to map out my intentions from week to week. I also want to support more charities and physically serve other people…
I don’t know if that’s too heavy a subject for a travel slash outfit blog post, haha. But it’s on my heart, so I have to share… And what better backdrop, but the Jewish History museum- a people who know suffering and endurance and live on with honor to tell the tales…
This was my favorite Museum to visit. It was much smaller than the others, but it held so much emotion for me. I have read the old Testament at least twice, so I feel a kinship to the Israelites and maintain an awe and wonder of their ongoing plights.
Jose and I were traveling in primarily black by the end of our trip, because it was SO cold we had to recycle a few new purchases to stay warm. Luckily, black goes with black. 😉
