This is part one of a two part feature on CrossRoads Trading Company. Second post will include some sick tennis I scored as well!
I was stoked to meet the lovely ladies of CrossRoads at a local fashion show recently. We chatted about the local fashion scene and then exchanged info. They were kind enough to follow up and shoot me a gift card, so that I could experience the brand new shop on 23rd for myself. And of course I hit the racks immediately!
The most impressive aspect of their 23rd local is the vast men’s department! For all of you dude fashionisto’s out there- check them out- they will not dissapoint. The women’s section carried a mix of new and gently used on-trend pieces for fashionista’s on a budget. A lot of house-labels and affordable brands were scattered throughout most racks, so I quickly made my way to the racks labeled “Designer” and tried on some pieces from Marc by Marc Jacobs, BCBG, Top Shop and Nasty Gal.
I ended up leaving with 3 selections that I knew I’d wear right away and you can see how I mixed this Fluer De Lis necklace and Neoprene skirt into my closet…
The skirt fits like a glove and the zipper up the back- along with the symmetrical seams- gives it a modern edge. I paired it with a cotton cropped T and cap to dress it down a bit. I mean, I didn’t want to look like I was hittin the clubs. They had a great accessories selection and at check out, I noticed this gorgeous Fluer De Lis necklace. It’s the perfect weight for an edgier outfit like this and the mixed metals make it more versatile.
