What a fabulous era to be a Latina! Growing up with iconic celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba and Eva Mendes, I found myself embracing my curves, olive skin and dark features early on.
I have always been proud of my Puerto Rican heritage and am blessed to thrive in a culture that celebrates women of all colors, shapes and sizes. It’s important to have mentors and icons for young Latina’s to look up to as well, so I keep a close eye on my latin obsessions! Which is why I’m majorly stoked to share with you the latest 2015 Holiday Collection by Eva Mendes.
I decided to style the Avery Velvet Sheath Dress for three reasons.
- I love a good show-your-curves bodycon.
- It comes in black. (LBD anyone?)
- They make it in “Petite”.
Essentially, this dress was made for my petite, curvy frame- and who am I to pass on a perfect match? TODAY ONLY Use CODE 6080 for 50% off this dress!
NOTE* This dress runs large as I’m guessing the rest of the collection may as well. I am a true dress “0” and this dress fits like a 2 despite the Petite label. I had to alter it for a slimmer fit.
You can see that I styled the dress with pretty minimal accessories. The most outrageous piece are the earings, which kind of play off the lazor-cut print of the dress. My shoes have a similar vibe for a subtle synchronization.
For my second look, I decided to style one of this years MAJOR TRENDS- over the knee boots. The Oxford Slouch Boot also comes in this years color of the year, so I snatched up a pair right away. Can you believe these babies are only $90? What a steal! TODAY ONLY Use CODE 6080 for 50% off these boots!
It was by pure coincidence that I already owned this fabulous Rag&Bone hat that perfectly coordinates with these boots. I am so stoked to have a pop of color to switch out with my black boot collection.
