My daughter is less than impressed with my job, which to her culminates to “mom spending all her time taking photos and then posting or ‘playing’ on her phone”. She is a bright girl so by now she understands the breakdown of a bloggers life and what it entails. For her the most fascinating part is of course- the clothes.
She adores to dress up herself, like this day pictured here. She is not a fan of being photographed which I can appreciate, but as these years are passing in a blur I consider it my due diligence as a mama to chronicle her spirit, fashion and sweet sweet face.
Ella’s favorite part of this outfit was the purple scarf with the hat. Many of the scarf shots didn’t turn out, because I have to warm her up before she’ll smile. But she also LOVES to wear any and all of mama’s hats.

Love your blog, Lavenda! I wanted to ask you, how do you like living in Portland? My husband and I currently reside in Houston, TX (I grew up here) but he’s looking at jobs near the Portland area. I’d love to hear feedback on the Pacific Northwest from a fellow native Texan. 😉

No way! I was born in Houston and still have family in the area. Portland is great! I post more scenic pics on my Instagram, but just a quick recap of PDX- it’s very community oriented, friendly and beautiful. The winters are long and you’ll have to adjust coming from Texas. Get a sunlamp. They really do make you feel like the sun is shining into your home 🙂 Hit me up when you get here. I’ll show you around. xoxo

She is SO adorable, even moreso when she smiles! A perfect little mini-you! Also a trench coat for tots–I can’t even! And that hat! I’d like to #stealherstyle
