Cozy Winter with VIPme

Staying cozy this year has become serious business for those living the NW. This has been one of the worst winters we’ve faced in about 8 years. During the first ice storm Ella and I were stranded 2-miles from home and had to walk home in the snow. So this mama is taking cozy to a whole new level this winter, making sure to bundle up with warm layers that both fabulous AND functional!

Chunky knits like this VIPme High Neck Sweater are definitely my go-to since I can wear something extra beneath while still layering an overcoat for warmth. Going in and outdoors all day means peeling and un-peeling layers. This comes in a One-Size-Fits-All which can be scary, but I was pleasantly suprised to have it fit in an oversized drape. I’m 5’4 and about 105. The sleeves can pull down to about my knuckles if worn alone. This particular knit is already sold out, but here is a similar high neck knit HERE.

I wanted to keep the jewelry fairly minimal so I wore my new Makko Jewelry. I paired this little Power Spike midi ring with the Dangling Arrow earrings for a clean, minimal touch of gold. You can also see that I’ve layered some fishnets beneath my denim. While this particular pair are more for style than function, you can also pop on a colorful pair (or black even) for a fun, yet cozy accent to any destroyed denim.

This VIPme Floral Embroidery Coat caught my eye immediately. I had it bookmarked at once and couldn’t wait to style it and see the colors in person. I ordered this in a size ‘2’ which I was slightly concerned about but luckily it runs small and fits like a true ‘0’. The material is less stiff than I expected and I had to iron it out before wearing it the first time.
