Texas born and raised, I will always be a sunshine girl at heart. Currently adventuring in Portland, Oregon.
What began as a side project and personal style diary, eventually became an opportunity to work for myself and spend more time with my daughter. With 7 years experience as a professional fashion photographer and a major in writing, I have been able to fuse my love for fashion with my schooling and life experience into a blog that I’m truly proud of- Lavenda’s Closet. I’ve create a platform of transparency that includes the good, the fashionable and the ugly. A fashion and lifestyle destination with a measured dose of reality to both inspire AND embrace a truly full and beautiful life.
My partner, Jose Behar began shooting my personal style content almost exclusively two years ago. My full time blogger status would not have become possible without his talent, patience and contribution. I’m so grateful for his presence and influence on this blog. My daughter Ella is a bit camera weary so respectfully, I only include her here and there when a project or idea interests her. She is the light of my life and continues to inspire and influence the lifestyle aspect of my blog.
My style is classic, feminine and modern at times. You’ll see that I don’t commit to just one style archetype, frequently challenging myself to to try new trends that my readers hopefully find inspiring. I still shop at Forever 21 and HM while making investments only a few times a year for high end staples. I exclusively partner with brands that reflect my own values and personal aesthetic. I take the trust of my readers to heart and am still learning to navigate the business with the personal.
