I’m almost OVER IT you guys. Ha! Any other mamas kind of panic around month 6th?

I know that this is the most comfortable and most fit I will be for at least 6-9 months, because the last trimester is about to blow things up 💥

Every single day is juggling act of diet vs cravings, exercise vs back pain, sleep versus efficiency and work vs peace of mind. The kiddos experience everything alongside me, so this is a season of Mac & cheese binges and back to back pizza nights . NOTHING FITS so I figure it out and then one week later, NOTHING FITS AGAIN 🤣🙈

Anyone? Any mamas out there, feelin me, yet?

Sure sure, I’m makin it work. Making the salads, drinking the water and sizing up on clothes every month. But can we please just press fast forward already? Tired of being tired. Tired of feeling guilty for contributing less. Tired of feeling like a baby ballooga in everything except leggings.

Sweet little baby in there, please take your time, but know that you owe me 24-7 snuggles for the rest of your life.

23 weeks PREGNANT! Been meaning to keep a better digital diary of this growing belly, but I can’t seem to remember the weekly updates, with the constant madness of 2020 going on.

At least the smoke is clearing here in Oregon. (We went from Hazardous to “Very Unhealthy”. 😰) So far, I’ve picked up a few tips on how to keep your indoor air quality top notch that seem to have been working. While the kids may be going stir crazy in the house, at least we know the air is fairly clean in here!

1. At first signs of compromised air quality, turn your HVAC to “on” so that the filter is running 24-7.

2. Run a HEPA air purifier to further clean the air from small smoke particles. (I have one that I run every night that adds a bonus of white noise to block out Luke’s snoring.)

3. If you don’t have an air purifier or HVAC system in your home, you can buy filters and tape them to the back of a box fab for a DIY filter that will trap particles and circulate cleaner air.

4. Be sure to tape off any cracks or fire places where air can blow in. (We used duck tape and a garbage bag for our fireplace.)

5. Run oil diffusers with essential oils like Peppermint, Eucalyptus and Lemon. The negative ions can trap dirt and reduce pollutants in the air.

6. Don’t have a diffuser either? You can add a couple drops of essential oil to a pot of boiling water.

7. Add 1/4 cup of baking soda to a pot of boiling water. This releases carbon dioxide into the air and may help with the smoke smell. Also works great to leave boxes open around the house.

Anyhow, hope these tips help! My heart goes out to all the families who’ve been affected by these west coast fires. 🙏🏼

I know many of us idealize big moments like the pregnancy experience, but let me give you this one tip: give yourself a break. (Current Advice to myself btw.)

We will all experience weight gain, the physical and emotional challenges head-on; There’s no way around that: But we will all handle it differently as well, react to the transitions with our own weaknesses and strengths ... that’s the beauty of community and the life-experience in general.

This pregnancy has me generally more tired and less creative this time around. I expected this to be a breeze because of my higher fitness level, but at best, I seem to operate at 70% with 10-12 hours of sleep each night and a very high-maintenance back that prefers car rides under 30 minutes. 😭 This is the season of life I will walk through however. I’m still guzzling water, working out with lower impact routines and planning shoots around the global pandemic and west-coast fires. 😰 I’m grateful for the clear skin that comes with all the extra hormones, a strong, capable baby-daddy who pulls extra weight when I snooze through almost every morning 😴, and am most grateful for God who has blessed us with a perfectly healthy pregnancy so far. #PraiseGod

Today I’m packing some light emergency bags in case of an evacuation notice. Over 900,000 acres have been burned already and they’re edging on the city my mere miles...

The storm that hit Monday whipped through so hard that huge forest trees crashed down causing damage to vehicles and homes. That same day several towns had felled trees and branches crash into power lines, causing dozens of other fires. What I don’t understand are the fires that may have been started by arsonists, with at least one arrest having been made for the Sweet Creek Milepost Fire. WTH folks?! Please stay safe and take time to prepare.

Don’t know about you, but I love good layering pieces that can compliment whatever else I throw on for the day. The jewel is a pretty color for Fall too.

Also, wanted to note what a MIRACLE it is that @ambrosiacarey pulled this stunning color from my home-dyed hair post-quarantine! It was a dark brown for several months before she pulled all the color out and toned it back to this. 😰😍

Had a dream about this little one last night, where I was holding them in my arms and everything! I’m almost to the 6 month mark and I feel like it’s going by SO FAST!

Haven’t even bought a crib or bassinet yet, but we’ve been dialing in other rooms in the meantime. I think I’m intimidated by the task; which crib? Which bedding? Ahhhhhh. 🙈😰
