It’s Holiday Season and I find myself turning time and time again to local sources for gift inspirations. I love that we live in a city that bustles with so much creativity and thriving artists. I recently discovered a new Portland favorite, The Society Hotel, where I was able to do a short shoot session with local photographer, Chris Barclay.
In this first shot I’m wearing some pieces from a local shop called Mapel Boutique, where I picked up this super soft T and Portland bag- which you can see more of HERE.
This hotel really captures the South side vibe of Portland. I love the warm, rustic details mixed with modern updates that make you feel right at home starting right at the lobby.
The rooms are small, but cozy; Reminds me of San Francisco or Brooklyn with tall windows and tiny, cute bathrooms. The hallways feel almost haunted with this beautiful spirit of the city. Don’t you adore the wood paneling and unfinished cement walls? It was a lot of fun discovering this hotel and the staff were all so kind and inviting- I’m definitely planning to do a full stay review here soon.
I had fun styling myself for this shoot with some Who What Wear favorites. You can shop both of those looks (pieces starting at $29.95) here:
What I love most about this hotel is the location in ChinaTown. This is one of my favorite spots to shoot with the streets full of character and culture.
